Thermometer Chart is used to show the progress towards a goal. It is generally used to reflect on the percentage achievement.
The template here gives many different type of Thermometer charts. You can create many more and / or format existing ones to meet your requirements.
Last 2 charts are having dual axes. Second axis can be used to provide info about remaining goal.
Below charts have liner markers against percentages so readability improves. Last chart, has the goal also at the top of the chart.
